Bearcats Offer a Dual-Threat Quarterback and two Offensive Linemen

The Cincinnati coaching staff is back on the recruiting trail following their AAC Championship win.

CINCINNATI — The Bearcats are taking full advantage of the national attention from making a historic run into the College Football Playoff. They extended scholarship offers to nine more players over the past 24 hours—including a quarterback and two offensive linemen.

The Bearcats are starting a new era with Desmond Ridder on his way out, and they are throwing darts at the board to find future passing talent. Cincinnati extended an offer to three-star quarterback Marcel Reed out of Montgomery Bell Academy in Nashville, Tennessee.

Reed is Rivals' sixth-ranked dual-threat quarterback in the 2023 class and currently has 14 offers. Those include Florida, Georgia, Miami (FL), and Texas A&M. He made his only school visit so far to Ole Miss in July.

Four-star 2024 guard Jordan Seaton out of St. John's College High in Washington, D.C., started the flurry of announcements on Tuesday.

According to Rivals, Seaton is now up to 11 offers from schools like Penn State, Ole Miss, and Texas A&M.  has taken one visit so far on the recruiting trail—a trip to Happy Valley in early October to see the Nittany Lions.

The Bearcats secured a 2022 commitment from Lipscomb Academy quarterback Luther Richesson last month, and they just offered one of the tackles who protects him in 2023 prospect Brandon Solis.

The three-star recruit has two offers from Vanderbilt and Marshall. He has not made any school visits so far.

Cincinnati takes on the Alabama Crimson Tide in the College Football Playoff on Dec. 31 at 3:30 p.m. ET. The game is airing on ESPN.
