Bearcats Offer Top-Two 2024 Ohio Prospect
CINCINNATI — The Bearcats are focusing on the secondary with recent recruiting offers. That continued with four-star 2024 cornerback Bryce West out of Glenville (Ohio).
According to On3 consensus, West is the 27th-ranked prospect nationally and the third-ranked cornerback. He is either No. 1 or No. 2 among 2024 Ohio prospects on every major recruiting site.
He holds 16 offers and is closely tied to Ohio State, which On3 has as a near-lock to land him (99%). OSU Running backs coach Tony Alford is his main recruiter after landing five star running back TreVeyon Henderson in the Class of 2020.
West is a versatile athlete who also has strong skills in the return game. At 6-foot, 180 pounds, West uses his frame soundly in coverage. His ball skills are very impressive, and he has a unique way of contorting his body for tough pass breakups when his hips aren't quite in-sync with the route.
Sprinkle in a clinical, wrap-tackling form in the open field, and it's no surprise that West is arguably the best talent in Ohio. Check out his highlights here.
