Local Three-Star 2025 Defensive Tackle Drayden Pavey Places Cincinnati Among Top-Eight Schools

The Bearcats are piecing together their 2025 recruiting class.

CINCINNATI — UC football has cracked the top-eight schools for three-star 2025 Taft (Ohio) defensive lineman Drayden Pavey.

According to 247Sports, Pavey is the 65th-ranked defensive lineman in the country and the 38th-best player in the state. He visited for the Miami (OH) game this past September and was in town during the season finale.

The 6-foot-3, 305-pound star held 17 offers from schools like Charlotte and Colorado State before trimming his options.

Pavey posted 46 tackles, 7.5 sacks, and nine TFLs in his junior season.

He operates as a hand-down defensive lineman who fires off from a four-point stance with ferocity. Pavey is one of the better run-stoppers in Cincinnati, with a powerful bull rush and some other finesse moves to counter.

Pavey's pass rushing is what could be really special though. He has an uncanny knack for creating pressure and turning those snaps into sacks at a higher rate than you normally see out of his position.
