Report: UC Offers Five-Star 2025 Center Alier Maluk
CINCINNATI — UC hoops and Wes Miller are continuing their pursuit of elite players in the 2025 class. Jake Weingarten reported an offer to five-star center Alier Maluk out of Imani Christian Academy (Pennsylvania).
According to 247Sports, Maluk is the 19th-ranked player nationally and the third-best center.
The 6-foot-9, 180-pound talent has nine other offers from schools like Florida State, and Ohio State.
Maluk was a standout player at the 2023 Pangos All-American Camp this summer after leading ICA to its first Class 1A Pennsylvania state title ever.
He dropped 22 points, and 7 rebounds in the state championship game.
A long, intimidating force at both ends of the floor, Maluk can swat a variety of shots as a stout rim protector with fluid feet and impressive quickness for his size. Cincinnati is following a trend with these athletic strong defensive big men that can run the floor and go up for dunks at a high level.
Maluk fits a similar mold as 2024 commit Tyler McKinley with a bit skinnier frame that's supplemented with nice fundamentals on his jump shot. That stroke can find the net all over the midrange at some tough shot angles.
Maluk would be the second-highest-rated UC player of the 247Sports era behind Lance Stephenson.
