Watch: UC Recruit Rayvon Griffith Advances to OHSAA Division III State Final

CINCINNATI — Rayvon Griffith and the Taft High School basketball team avenged their semifinal loss in the OHSAA Division III playoffs last season, and the Bearcats recruiting target played a major role.
The four-star 2023 recruit finished with a game-high 17 points and six rebounds against Cleveland Heights Lutheran East on Friday to advance to the state championship game. The 6-foot-7 weapon coined this playoff journey a revenge tour after losing in the semis last season, and now they are one win away from the school's first state title since 2011.
According to 247Sports, Griffith is the 41st-ranked recruit and the eighth-best shooting guard. ESPN has him ranked as the 59th-best player in the country. The On3 database has Cincinnati as the 65% favorite to land Griffith.
Taft plays for the state title at 10:45 a.m. on Sunday morning against Ottawa-Glandorf—who also lost in the semifinals last season. Check out highlights from Griffith's (No. 3) performance.
