Wes Miller Welcomes UC's Latest Signees in Tyler Betsey and Tyler McKinley

Cincinnati is adding some serious talent as the Wes Miller era continues.

CINCINNATI — National Signing Day just wrapped up in college basketball as UC had two of its seven best recruits in the past 20 years ink their NLIs on Wednesday.

Four-star 2024 forwards Tyler Betsey and Tyler McKinley are now officially Bearcats and Wes Miller is amped to get the premiere talents in his system.

"We are thrilled to have Tyler sign his National Letter of Intent," Miller said about Betsey. "We have recruited him for a year. He's a great kid and big-time player. I think our fans will be excited to see him. His mother and the people around him are special. Cane Broome, a former Bearcat, is one of his assistant coaches, which is really neat, and he's played for a Hall of Fame high school coach in Jere Quinn, who even I played against as a player. Tyler will come in prepared, and I'm really excited he's a Bearcat."

"We've been recruiting him for 2 ½ years, so we have a great relationship with not only him, but his family that is from right here in Cincinnati," Miller said about the forward. "He spent a few years at Walnut Hills before going to Link Academy. We are proud to have a national champion high schooler joining us. He's now back locally at Winton Woods, and he's played for great local coaches we have great relationships with here in the community. He's a versatile player in the frontcourt, passing and handling well. He's also gotten explosive in the past year."
