No. 4 Furman (6-1, 4-0 SoCon) defeated No. 8 Western Carolina (5-2, 3-1 SoCon), 29-17, in a huge Week 8 matchup.

The Paladins were dominant on the ground, rolling up 335 rushing yards and 7.1 yards per carry. Running back Dominic Roberto led the Paladins with 154 rushing yards and one touchdown.

Furman's defense held Western Carolina to only 84 rushing yards and forced two crucial interceptions. Linebacker Evan DiMaggio led the team with 10 tackles, two tackles for loss, and two sacks.
