After an exciting slate of conference championships has concluded, the buildup to the reveal of the College Football Playoff is officially over as the committee now reveals which teams have earned the right to compete for the college football national championship.

While numerous debates have been had in the lead-up to the reveal, there are a handful of programs that have left no doubt for their placement in this year's College Football Playoff. The first of those teams is the Indiana Hoosiers.

The Hoosiers shocked the world Saturday night as they took down top-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes in a 13-10 victory during the Big Ten Championship Game. The win was Indiana's first conference title victory since 1967 and helped improve their record to 13-0.

The next program to cement their place was the Texas Tech Red Raiders, who handled the BYU Cougars in the Big 12 Championship by a score of 34-7. It was the second meeting between these two programs this season, both of which Texas Tech won by more than 20 points.

The third team that has cemented its place in this year's playoff is the Georgia Bulldogs, who handed the Alabama Crimson Tide a 21-point loss in the SEC Championship game. The Dawgs were defeated by the Crimson Tide earlier this season, but were able to avenge the loss with Saturday's domination.

With College Football Playoff matchups and seeding now set, teams will turn their focus to preparing for their preseason opponents in hopes of winning the highly coveted national championship.

Round one of the playoff matchups is set to begin on December 19th and 20th, with seeds 5-12 facing off. Higher-ranked seeds will compete at home, creating home-field advantage. The top four-ranked programs will be idle in the first round.
