First half
Just a 2-for-6 start to the field for Indiana, but the defensive intensity has been there from the start. After taking just three 3-point attempts in the opener against Eastern Illinois, Darren Harris has already attempted three 3-pointers tonight and has five early points. Indiana leads 7-4
A Bryce Lindsay triple is followed by an excellent touch pass in the paint from Trent Sisley to Trevor Manhertz for a dunk. While the Hoosiers are still just 2-of-7 from deep, their bench has come in and maintained the effort level on defense. Indiana leads 15-7
The Hoosiers have made three of their last four from deep, including a pair from Bryce Lindsay, who's up to seven early points off the bench. Darren Harris, who has two 3-pointers of his own, leads the way with nine points as Indiana begins to pull away behind a continued impressive defensive effort. Indiana leads 24-9
Two offensive rebounds on one possession, resulting in a Darren Harris 3-point play, followed by a Harris right-wing triple, have pushed Indiana's lead to as large as it's been all night after Bellarmine went on a bit of a run. Indiana leads 38-20
Markus Burton can't convert on the final possession of the first half, but that was an impressive half for Indiana on both ends of the floor. There are not too many teams around the country that have a guy like Bryce Lindsay coming off the bench. Lindsay has 13 first-half points, while Harris leads the way with 15. The Hoosiers made seven of their last 11 triples of the half. Indiana leads 50-26
Second half
Darren Harris has picked up right where he left off in the first half, continuing to be aggressive in looking for his shot. He's got a game-high 21 points and has already hit two more 3-pointers this half. Indiana leads 57-36
The Hoosiers haven't quite had the same level of defensive intensity as they did in the first half. But a Trevor Manhertz 3-pointer and a couple of baskets from Aiden Sherrell have the Hoosiers still ahead comfortably. Indiana leads 65-44
Aiden Sherrell has had a tremendous impact on both ends of the floor tonight. He's got the rare ability to impact the game on all three levels defensively as a rim protector and wing defender, while doing the same offensively, knocking down threes and playing bully ball in the paint. He's into double figures tonight after a coast-to-coast layup. Indiana leads 73-48
