WATCH: Xavier Johnson Drains Crucial 3-Pointer

Xavier went into a 2-3 zone late in the second half, and Indiana point guard Xavier Johnson responded with a key 3-pointer.

CINCINNATI, Ohio – Indiana really needed this one.

Xavier was completely unable to stop Trayce Jackson-Davis one-on-one, so coach Sean Miller decided to shift to a 2-3 zone. It resulted in a defensive stop on the first possession, but Indiana made the Musketeers pay shortly after.

Indiana guard Trey Galloway took a dribble into the lane to collapse the defense, then kicked the ball out to Xavier Johnson at the top of the key. Johnson stepped into the pass and didn't hesitate to let it fly, knocking down a crucial 3-pointer. This shot gave Indiana a 65-64 lead with just under seven minutes left in the game.
