IU is coming off a 29-27, four-overtime win over Akron in its final nonconference game of the season, moving its record to 2-2 on the season. Maryland enters the game at 4-0, as one of just four remaining unbeaten teams in the Big Ten. The Terrapins defeated Michigan State 31-9 in Week 4.

LIVE BLOG

6:50 p.m. — FINAL: Maryland 44, Indiana 17. The Hoosiers' nightmarish game has finally concluded.

6:45 p.m. — TOUCHDOWN, INDIANA. Sorsby finds Andison Coby in the back of the end zone with 25 seconds remaining to make if a 44-17 game.

6:29 p.m. — TOUCHDOWN, MARYLAND. Tagovailoa throws his fifth touchdown of the game, giving him a new career-best performance. Hoosiers trail 44-10.

6:19 p.m. — TOUCHDOWN, INDIANA. Brendan Sorsby finds wide receiver Donaven McCulley on a rollout pattern to get the Hoosiers' first touchdown of the game. The score is now Maryland 37, Indiana 10, with just over 11 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.

6:17 p.m. — Indiana converts a fourth-and-one in Maryland territory, pushing Sorsby over the line-to-gain. The quarterback then completed a long pass to Dequece Carter on the subsequent play, moving the Hoosiers down to the 11-yard line.

6:11 p.m. — Indiana blocks the field goal attempt from Maryland kicker Jack Howes early in the fourth quarter. Phillip Dunnam scoops up the loose football and returns it to the Maryland 47-yard line.

6:06 p.m. — END OF THIRD QUARTER: Maryland 37, Indiana 3. Mercifully, there are only 15 minutes left in the game.

5:55 p.m. — For the first time since the Indiana State game in Week 2, Brendan Sorsby is in at quarterback for the Hoosiers.

5:52 p.m. — On third-and-19, Tagovailoa completed a 48-yard pass to his favorite receiver Felton, bringing Maryland inside the Indiana five-yard line. A short touchdown pass to Dylan Wade and an extra point from the Terrapins' kicker puts Indiana in a 37-3 deficit.

5:37 p.m. — Maryland's Jack Howes knocks in a 44-yard field goal to make it 30-3 Terrapins with 11:23 left in the third quarter.

5:35 p.m. — Indiana goes for it on fourth-and-nine on the first drive of the second half. Broc Lowry's pass to Omar Cooper Jr. only picks up eight yards, and the attempt is unsuccessful. Maryland has the football in great field position once again.

5:31 p.m. — Action has started up again here in the third quarter at College Park. Indiana will start at its own 23-yard line.

5:10 p.m. — END OF SECOND QUARTER: Maryland 27, Indiana 3. Everything that could go wrong, did go wrong. Maryland has out-gained Indiana 259-155. Indiana has failed on two different fourth down attempts. Tagovailoa had more than 200 yards passing in just two quarters. The Hoosiers are having a no good, very bad day.

5:06 p.m. — Tayven Jackson threw his third interception with 13 seconds left in the first half, as the pass bounced off Jaylin Lucas's hands and into the hands of Maryland's Fa'Najae Gotay.

5:02 p.m. — Maryland scores its fourth touchdown of the first half, though the Terrapins missed the extra point, making the score 27-3 with 36 seconds left in the first half. It was the third touchdown reception of the first half for receiver Tai Felton. Hoosier trailing by 24 points after just one half of football.

4:55 p.m — Indiana went for another fourth-and-one late in the first half. The Hoosiers ran a triple option play that resulted in an 11-yard loss for Tayven Jackson. Maryland has the football, and can add to its lead before the break.

4:50 p.m. — Another big catch for Donaven McCulley, who picks up a first down for Indiana across the 50-yard line, hauling in a contested catch while falling out of bounds. The quarterback-turned-wide receiver has three catches for 46 yards with just 1:09 remaining in the first half.

4:44 p.m. — Indiana's defense forces a punt from Maryland, but interestingly enough star returner Jaylin Lucas was not back to receive yet. No word yet as to whether he was benched or if he suffered any injury.

4:37 p.m. — Indiana goes for it on fourth down once again, but this time is unsuccessful. Jackson was pressured right away, and his intended pass to tight end Aaron Steinfeldt fell incomplete.

4:34 p.m. — Indiana's offense goes for it on fourth-and-three and converts with a pass to McCulley. Now inside the Maryland red zone for just the second time in the game.

4:29 p.m. — Biggest play of the game for Indiana's offense so far, a 22-yard strike from Tayven Jackson to Donaven McCulley over the middle of the field.

4:23 p.m. — END OF FIRST QUARTER: Maryland 21, Indiana 3. The Hoosiers are not playing very well at all.

4:19 p.m. — Another quick drive for Maryland. Tagovailoa runs in a 21-yard touchdown on a read option keeper, making it 21-3 Terrapins in the first quarter.

4:14 p.m. — Another three-and-out for the Indiana offense. The Hoosiers lost 15 yards on the drive despite completing passes on their first two plays.

4:08 p.m. — TOUCHDOWN, Maryland. The Terrapins lead 14-3 after a one-play drive. Indiana had a complete bust in pass coverage for the second time in the first quarter, giving up a 29-yard touchdown reception to Tai Felton. There's still 5:34 left in the first quarter, and things are looking very bad for the Hoosiers.

4:05 p.m — Indiana punted the ball away after a three-and-out from the offense, and safety Jordan Grier interfered with the Maryland punt returner on the catch, giving the Terrapins a free 15 yards via penalty.

3:58 p.m. — A great second down tackle from Aaron Casey and a third down incompletion from Tagovailoa forces the first punt of the game from Maryland. Jaylin Lucas loses yards on his punt return this time around, and Indiana will start its second drive at its own 10-yard line.

3:49 p.m. — Chris Freeman's kick is good from 25 yards out, making the score 7-3 Maryland with 9:54 left in the first quarter. Indiana only completed two passes on its drive that started inside Terrapins' territory, both to tight end Trey Walker. Each of the five other plays were runs for halfback Christian Turner.

3:45 p.m. — Jaylin Lucas takes the first Maryland kickoff of the game back 56 yards, setting Indiana's offense up in great field position. Four plays in and it's already a wild game.

3:42 p.m. — Taulia Tagovailoa finds Tai Felton on a screen pass, who ran it into the end zone for a 13-yard touchdown. Maryland leads Indiana 7-0 just 25 seconds into the game.

3:41 p.m. — Indiana completely loses track of Maryland wideout Jeshaun Jones and gives up a 62-yard pass to the Terrapins on the first play of the game.

3:40 p.m. — Indiana kicker Chris Freeman sends the ball out of the back of the end zone on the opening kickofff for a touchback. Taulia Tagovailoa and the Maryland offense will start with the ball at the 25-yard line.

3:27 p.m. — Louis Moore walked by a group of Indiana beat reporters and shouted, "I don’t even know why they put me on there! I’m good to go!” Should be safe to assume that the Indiana safety will be playing today after being listed as questionable.

2:44 p.m. – Indiana will be without running back Josh Henderson, wide receiver E.J. Williams Jr., offensive lineman Max Longman, tight end Braldey Archer, cornerback Jamier Johnson, quarterback Dexter Williams II and linebacker Jackson Schott, according to the pregame injury report.

  • PREGAME INJURY REPORT: Indiana listed seven players out in the pregame injury report against Maryland, including quarterback Dexter Williams II, wide receiver E.J.
