Game Primer: How To Watch, Things to Know for Oklahoma State at Kansas

In this story:
The Kansas Jayhawks head into November needing just one win to secure bowl eligibility for the first time since the 2008-09 season. And their best chance to get that win might be their first game this week, as they host a ranked but injury plagued Oklahoma State Cowboys squad coming off a huge loss to the Kansas State Wildcats.
Kansas is no longer receiving votes in the polls, but they have been ranked as high as #19. Oklahoma State is ranked #18 in both polls.
Oklahoma State leads the all-time series 40-29-3, including a 22-15-1 record in Lawrence. The Cowboys have won the last 12 meetings between these two teams, with the last win for the Jayhawks coming on November 10, 2007 in Stillwater.

Fun Facts
Last week, we noted that Jason Bean has thrown for 250+ yards and 4+ touchdowns in the last two games. Not only is he the first quarterback to do that in back to back games since Todd Reesing in 2008, but he also is one of only four quarterback in college football to accomplish that feat, and the only one to do it against two conference opponents.
The 42 touchdowns scored so far this year by the Jayhawks is the most for the team since the 2009 season, where they totaled 42 touchdowns in all 12 games
The Jayhawks currently have the same number of conference wins (2) and overall wins (5) as they had in the entire 2019-2021 seasons.
