Mississippi State Baseball Defeats Evansville 13-3
STARKVILLE, Miss. — The Mississippi State Bulldogs secure the sweep over Evansville with a 13-3 win in eight innings. Jurrangelo Cijntje pitched well for the Bulldogs as he pitched six innings and struck out ten.
Cijntje had a lone blemish when he surrendered a three-run home run in the fourth inning. However, Cijntje recovered and did not allow another run.
Dakota Jordan hit his third homerun of the weekend as well. The freshman Dylan Cupp had four hits and drove in three runs.
Mississippi State will be back in action Tuesday in Biloxi as they take on South Alabama at 6 p.m. CT.

Last time out, Bulldogs: Mississippi State had their most impressive win of the season in their previous 5-4 win over Southern Miss. A disastrous first inning put the Bulldogs in an early 4-0 deficit. However, Bulldogs relievers pitched eight scoreless after that, and a seven-inning home run by Dakota Jordan led MSU to their sixth straight win.
