Michael Mayer and Isaiah Foskey Go In The First Two Rounds In The Latest PFF Mock Draft

In this story:
Pro Football Focus lead draft analyst Mike Renner released his latest three round mock draft and two Notre Dame players went in the first two rounds of his latest.
Tight end Michael Mayer went in round one and defensive end Isaiah Foskey went in round two in Renner's draft.
Mayer was projected to the Dallas Cowboys with the No. 26 overall pick. That is also where Todd McShay of ESPN had Mayer going. Both had Mayer being selected as the second tight end off the board.
"Mayer is the perfect player to seamlessly reproduce what Dallas lost with Dalton Schultz moving on to Houston. He’s an NFL-ready inline blocker with ultra-reliable receiving skills. His game compares closely to that of former Cowboys tight end Jason Witten, as well." - Renner, PFF
In this scenario, Mayer would join another former Notre Dame star in Dallas. Zack Martin was selected No. 16 overall by the Cowboys back in the 2014 NFL Draft, and Martin has emerged as the league's best guard during his time in Dallas.
Renner had Foskey going to the Jacksonville Jaguars with the No. 55 overall pick in this year's draft.
"Foskey has the kind of length the Jaguars covet. This addition also allows Travon Walker to be a little more versatile in the way he was at Georgia." - Renner, PFF
Walker was the No. 1 overall pick in last year's draft. Foskey would join former teammate Kevin Austin Jr. if he were selected by the Cowboys. Foskey was once considered a first round pick, but some had him falling all the way into the third round. Some more recent mock draft's - like Renner's - have him going in round two. McShay did not have Foskey going in the second round.
