Big Time 2025 Tight End Nate Roberts Sets Commitment Date

Notre Dame is one of many schools hoping to land 2025 tight end Nate Roberts, who will be announcing his decision on Saturday

One of the nation's best tight ends and best players in the 2025 class is Washington (Okla.) High School tight end Nate Roberts, and he's now ready to announce his college decision. Roberts is set to make his college commitment known on Saturday, June 17th at 1:00 PM ET.

Roberts will be deciding between Notre Dame, Georgia, Ohio State, Clemson, Oklahoma, Michigan, Oregon, Miami (Fla.), Baylor, Auburn and Wisconsin.

Notre Dame and tight ends coach/offensive coordinator Gerad Parker have made the 6-4, 225-pound sophomore a top priority for a very long time. The 2025 class is loaded at tight end, and Roberts is without question one of the best. Notre Dame has been recruiting Roberts harder than any tight end in the class, and he's reciprocated that interest in the Irish with multiple trips to campus. 

Roberts has shown that interest in other schools as well, and he's made a lot of visits to his top teams in recent weeks, including a visit to Notre Dame last week.

Roberts hauled in 33 passes for 705 yards and 11 touchdowns as a sophomore, which was good for a 21.3 yards per catch average. He does damage on all three levels, and he's an impact pass catcher after the catch thanks to his combination of speed and strength.

The Washington High School star is ranked as the nation's No. 55 overall player by 247 Sports, and he's the No. 3 tight end in the class according 247 Sports and ESPN.

On top of the offers from his finalists, Roberts has also earned offers from Tennessee, TCU, Texas A&M, Arkansas, Missouri, Kentucky, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Kansas and Purdue.
