Notre Dame High On The List For Dynamic Pass Rusher Bryce Davis

In this story:
The state of North Carolina has been very important for Notre Dame in recent recruiting cycles, and the Fighting Irish staff is focusing hard on the state in the 2025 class as well, and that includes Greensboro (N.C.) Grimsley defensive end Bryce Davis, one of the nation's best edge players.
Notre Dame has made a good early impression on the 6-4, 230-pound defensive end.
"Notre Dame is high on my list for sure,” Davis told Irish Breakdown. "The relationship is there and the scheme. I am just trying to figure out when I can get up there to really see it for myself and experience everything.
"My relationship is really good with them,” he continued. “They are really genuine. I talk to Coach (Nick) Sebastian all the time and I have a good relationship with Coach (Al) Washington as well.”
Things have started to get super busy over the last several weeks. Davis has been taking visits, out competing at camps and taking a small vacation before getting ready for his junior season. The North Carolina star is already beginning to plan the rest of his trips over the next few months.
"Recruiting has been going really well for me so far,” said Davis. "I am still trying to take everything slow and build relationships with the coaches. Right now, I will be in Athens on July 29th. I am also finalizing a trip to see Notre Dame.”
It should be no surprise that Notre Dame is among one of the schools standing out. It’s a long list of impressive suitors.
"The schools that have been doing the best job recruiting me right now are Clemson, Alabama, Notre Dame, Georgia, Duke and South Carolina,” he stated. "They are putting in a lot of effort.”
With great early work on Davis, he’s the type of player that Notre Dame really needs to push for. He’s a potential five-star pass rusher from a state that is becoming a big asset on the recruiting trail.
Davis was an absolute menace as a sophomore. He would collect 92 total tackles, 26 tackles for loss and 12 sacks. The North Carolina native also posted an additional 27 quarterback hurries, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries and two blocked kicks.
The 6-4, 230-pound pass rusher is a borderline elite prospect already in the 2025 recruiting class. Davis is ranked as a top 50 recruit nationally by both Rivals and 247Sports. The latter has him currently pegged as the No. 25 overall player and No. 4 edge in the class.
As you can imagine, Davis is already being pursued by some of the top schools in all of college football. Some of Davis’ top offers currently include Notre Dame, Georgia, Alabama, Clemson, Michigan, Florida, Miami, Oklahoma, Florida State, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas A&M, North Carolina, Louisville, South Carolina, Stanford, Virginia Tech, NC State, Duke, West Virginia, Wake Forest and Vanderbilt among others.
