NORMAN — After an historic victory, Oklahoma rose two spots in both the AFCA Coaches Poll and the Associated Press Top 25 on Tuesday.

The Sooners are up to No. 17 in the coaches poll, up from their preseason ranking of No. 19, and No. 18 in the AP poll, up two spots from No. 20, after a 73-0 victory over Arkansas State on Saturday.

It was OU’s largest margin of victory in a season opener since 1917, and their largest margin of victory over an FBS since 2003.

Georgia remains No. 1 in both polls, ahead of No. 2 Michigan, No. 3 Alabama and No. 4 Florida State. Texas is the highest-ranked team in the Big 12, coming in at No. 11 in the AP poll, while Kansas State is No. 15.
