Dates Set for Two of Oklahoma's 2024 SEC Matchups

On Monday night, the Sooners learned when they will square off against two marquee opponents on the 2024 slate.

On Monday night, ESPN Senior Writer Chris Low reported that the dates for two of Oklahoma's 2024 conference games have been set.

The Sooners will welcome the Tennessee Volunteers to Norman for OU's first-ever SEC contest on Sept. 21, 2024, and will host Alabama on Nov. 23, 2024.

Oklahoma learned its opponents for the 2024 season in June, but dates for the Sooners' inaugural year in the SEC had not been announced.

OU will also host South Carolina next season, but the date for that contest still has not been revealed. Oklahoma will travel to Mississippi, LSU, Missouri and Auburn for true road games next season.

The Red River Rivalry will remain in Dallas at the Cotton Bowl.

Tennessee is led by former OU quarterback and offensive coordinator Josh Heupel

This season, the Volunteers finished the regular season 8-4, dropping games against Florida, Alabama, Missouri and Georgia.

Alabama is led by legendary head coach Nick Saban, who was coached his team to an 11-1 season, with a loss to Texas, and an appearance in the SEC Championship Game once again this year.

Low also reports the SEC expects to announce the rest of the 2024 conference schedule in December.
