With Oklahoma’s fall Battle Series complete, the team will now turn its attention to the 2024 regular season.

On Tuesday afternoon, the OU softball team announced its 2024 regular season schedule.

Coming off of their third consecutive NCAA Championship, the Sooners are set to play a challenging schedule that will take the team to various destinations around the country.

Additionally, Patty Gasso and company will head to Mexico for the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge to kick off OU’s season on Feb. 8, 2024.

During the tournament, the Sooners will take on Duke, who was the 2023 ACC runner-up and an NCAA Super Regional qualifier last season, and Washington, who reached the Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma City before being eliminated by Stanford.

After their time south of the border, Gasso and company will head to Lake Charles, LA to compete in the McNeese State Tournament on Feb. 16. At the event, OU will play 2023 NCAA Tournament qualifiers McNeese State and Central Arkansas.

Next, Oklahoma will travel to the Sunshine State for the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic. In the tournament, the Sooners will square off against current Oklahoma pitcher Paytn Monticelli’s former squad, the Wisconsin Badgers.

In California, OU will also take on San Diego State, who reached the NCAA Super Regionals last season, and Notre Dame, who were NCAA Regional qualifiers in 2023.

The Sooners will open their 2024 home slate on March 1, when the team will host a four-team tournament at the brand new Love’s Field, which will make its debut that weekend.

Miami (OH), Liberty and Louisiana are the other three programs set to participate in the event.

One week later, Oklahoma will kick off Big 12 play at Love’s Field with a three-game series against Iowa State. For the rest of their conference slate, Gasso’s team will play Texas Tech, Kansas, Texas and UCF on the road while taking on Baylor, BYU, Houston and Oklahoma State in Norman.
