Oregon continues to prioritize Arizona on the recruiting trail and one of its best players will visit next weekend.

Oregon will host Chander (Ariz.) Basha cornerback Miles Lockhart, a top-200 player in the country. Lockhart tells me he will be in town for the spring game on April 29. He's the top-rated cornerback in the state of Arizona and ranked the No. 18 corner in the 2024 class according to 247 sports.

Lockart is a former teammate of Oregon 2023 cornerback signee Cole Martin, who no doubt is trying to get the 5-foot-10 185-pound DB to join him in Eugene. Oregon has some ground to make up here thought, as Lockhart has previously stated that Ohio State leads.

He's recently taken visits to Wisconsin, and Ohio State, which holds three crystal ball predictions according to 247Sports. The Buckeyes are towards the top for a lot of corners right now and as the dominos start to fall, Oregon could benefit that.

An unofficial visit could go a long way for the Ducks but only time will tell in an absolutely stacked visitor weekend. Other West Coast talents to keep an eye on for visits include coming out include Bellfower (Calif.) St. John Bosco defensive back Jason Mitchell II, Long Beach (Calif.) Poly linebacker Dylan Williams, Newport Beach (Calif.) Newport Harbor wide receiver and Oregon commit Jordan Anderson, and the nation's top offensive tackle Brandon Baker out of Mater Dei.

Oregon is looking for its first cornerback commit and Lockhart is one of their top targets. Another big target Dakoda Fields recently visited and Oregon appears to be in the driver’s seat.

Max and I gave an update on where Oregon stands with him in the latest Ducks Dish podcast.
