It's an exciting time for Oregon Football on the recruiting trail. The Ducks just landed a trio of commitments within the last week and it looks like they're just getting started.

Here's a look at some of the top recent storylines, paired with some of my analysis and thoughts on each recruit.

Aydin Breland

This is an interesting one that I really didn't think Oregon had much of a shot at until recently. The Ducks got a big win by getting him on campus this past weekend and they have him slated for his official visit during the biggest weekend in June. Two very positive developments.

Not ready to say they lead yet but I'm comfortable saying they'll be right in the thick of it until the very end.

Brandon Baker

Another very interesting recruitment here, but I feel like I have a very strong read on this one. I'll sum it up like this.

I think he was ready to commit back in the fall under Klemm but that departure shook things up. The Ducks, led by A'lique Terry and Dan Lanning, have done a tremendous job checking all of his boxes and I can confidently say they hold lead.

Now the next item is locking in his official date. It won't be on the big June 23 weekend, but it should come next month. He's a must-get recruit in my eyes and Terry has done a tremendous job attacking the recruiting trail since returning to Oregon.

Jack Ressler

My feel here is the Ducks have shot to the top of his list. He also visited this past weekend and is working from a final two of Oregon and Boise State.

With a decision expected early next month I don't see the Ducks letting this one slip away and that's why I logged my Oregon prediction today.

Wide Receiver Recruiting

I mentioned it in my what's next story following Dillon Gresham's commitment on Monday, but my feel is that the Ducks are focusing mainly on two wide receivers aside from Ressler. Jeremiah McClellan out of St. Louis and Ryan Pellum out of Long Beach.

They're going to continue recruiting and taking swings at players like James Madison II and Terry Bussey, but my feel is that one of McClellan or Pellum, likely McClellan will become the top priority.

Preston Taumua

Taumua is a name that's gaining more traction with Oregon along the offensive line in 2024. He's THE name to know out of Hawaii this cycle and he recently placed the Ducks in his top five along with Alabama, Arizona, Auburn and Nebraska.

A'lique Terry has been well aware of Taumua thanks to his ties in Hawaii and there's plenty of other connections on the staff and the roster. They'll get an official visit and it's looking more like he's their top option at center, with the ability to play guard as well.

Devin Brooks is another option still in play for the Ducks, but I don't think there's quite as much buzz there. Also keep an eye out for Eddy Piere-Louis. He's another offensive line recruit I really like and I'll bet Oregon gets an official.

Isaiah Garcia

Garcia is the top recruit out of the state of Utah and the offensive tackle just placed Oregon in his top ten. However, I'm told the teams really worth watching are Oregon, USC and Alabama.

The Ducks have developed a very strong pipeline into the state that precedes Lanning, but he's only strengthened that since he was hired and I know he's very intrigued by the potential of the Beehive State.

Justin Williams

I don't really have an update here, but the more I think about it the more I have a hard time seeing another school beating Oregon. By no means am I downplaying that Alabama and Georgia are the hardest competition you can face, but the staff has been involved for so long here and made him such a priority I think they can get it done.

The Lanning factor could be what pushes Oregon over the top and my feel is still very much that the Ducks lead.

Anthony "Turbo" Rogers

Rogers is one of the best running backs in the 2025 class and he recently transferred to IMG Academy. He also narrowed his recruitment to five schools: Oregon, Alabama, Auburn, Florida and Georgia and is slated to announce his college commitment June 2.

What makes the Ducks a contender? Carlos Locklyn is from Rogers' hometown of Montgomery, Alabama and he gave him his first offer to Western Kentucky two years ago.

I'm not saying that will be the end all be all, but it's certainly an interesting wrinkle and it's tough to ever count Locklyn out in recruiting. I'll admit the Ducks don't have a crazy success rate at IMG, but I think they have at least a puncher's chance here.
