Dawn Staley and South Carolina's Women's Basketball team are just the sixth Power 6 program in women's college basketball history to enter the NCAA Tournament with an undefeated record and are looking to become just the fourth program ever in the sport to win consecutive national titles. Tonight, South Carolina will find out which teams will stand in their way of achieving such a rare feat, so what do Gamecock fans need to watch during this evening's selection show?

Who's In Greenville Regional 1?

In terms of the drama surrounding the final seeding for the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament, avid viewers have come to one foregone conclusion: South Carolina is a lock to be the Tournament's No. 1 overall seed. That would slot Aliyah Boston and the Gamecocks in Greenville Regional 1, so naturally, the next question is, who could end up in this regional with the Gamecocks?

While there have been some moving parts in the past week, ESPN Bracketologist Charlie Creme currently projects Maryland, Notre Dame, and North Carolina will be the remaining teams filling in the top four seeds in the regional.

The Top Seeds In Seattle Regional 4

If Greenville Regional 1 sets up almost precisely as Charlie Creme has it, then the Gamecocks have an objectively easy path to the Final Four, which means the next question would be, who could they face in Dallas? With their regional being paired with Seattle Regional 4, it'd be fair to assume that one of the top seeds from that site would be their Final Four opponent.

Based on Charlie Creme's projections, the Iowa Hawkeyes would be Seattle Regional 4's No. 1 seed, followed by UConn, Duke, and Texas in that exact order. According to Creme, however, a heavy debate remains regarding who the No. 1 seed should be in this regional between Iowa, UConn, and Stanford.

Where Is Stanford Slotted?

Despite their stumbles in conference play, depending on who you talk to, the Stanford Cardinals are viewed as the Gamecocks' biggest roadblock to another title due to their roster composition and championship experience. Based on Creme's recent bracket and information, Stanford could be a potential national title or Final Four foe for South Carolina.
