CJ Jackson Includes Gamecocks In Top 10

2024 edge defender Christopher "CJ" Jackson, a South Carolina Football target, has included the Gamecocks in his top 10.

Shane Beamer and South Carolina's Football program have had tremendous success in recruiting and developing edge rushers. In terms of development, Kingsley "JJ" Enagbare wound up being drafted in the 5th round of the subsequent NFL Draft, and starters Gilber Edmond and Jordan Burch supplanted multiple career highs statistically this past Fall.

On the trail, defensive end/outside linebackers coach Sterling Lucas has brought in Desmond Umeozulu from the DMV area and has South Carolina in the game for other national-level prospects in the 2024 cycle like Dylan Stewart, KingJoseph Edwards, Darien Mayo, and DD Holmes. One other target that Lucas has his eyes on is Tucker, GA native Christopher "CJ" Jackson.

Jackson is considered one of the best players at his position for the 2024 cycle and has the offers to back up this notion, with teams like Georgia, LSU, Alabama, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Texas, and several others having thrown their proverbial hat in the ring. CJ, however, seems like he's nearing the latter stages of his recruitment, as he announced his Top 10 on Wednesday evening and included South Carolina.

Jackson has scheduled two different Summer official visits for Georgia and LSU but has yet to check out Columbia, so Shane Beamer and his staff will have to work hard to get CJ on campus if they want to have any realistic shot of landing him at the end of the process.
