Four-Star CB Jalyn Crawford Has South Carolina In His Top 11

South Carolina Football target Jalyn Crawford released his Top 11 on Monday afternoon and included the Gamecocks.

Georgia native, Jalyn Crawford has narrowed his choice to 11 schools, and South Carolina has made the list as one his desired destinations. Crawford, a top 20 cornerback in 2024 according to On3, heaped praise on Gamecock defensive back coach Torrian Gray in an interview he did with On3's Hayes Fawcett, and how he helps players get to the NFL.

"South Carolina has great coaches such as coach Gray, who is a great guy and if his players listen to him he [can] develop them and ultimately get them to that next level," Crawford told Fawcett.

During Crawfords junior season, he racked up 25 tackles, six pass deflections and two interceptions for the Parkview Panthers. The full list of Crawford's top 11 included North Carolina, Florida, Miami, LSU, Texas A&M, Louisville, Clemson, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Auburn.

Here is the scouting report on Crawford, per 247Sports director of scouting Andrew Ivins:

"An aggressive cover corner that has held his own in Georgia’s highest-classification - Versed in both man and off-man coverage. Also owns valuable two-way snaps having doubled as a wide receiver on Friday nights - Quick to break on the ball and has proven to be uber competitive at the catch point, having totaled plenty of PBUs and a trio of interceptions as an 11th grader - Should be viewed as a potential starter at the Power Five level given frame and early body of work. Likely going to need some seasoning before he’s ready to go, but has what it takes to eventually emerge as an impact player."
