Kaj Sanders Includes Gamecocks In Top 10
If there's one position coach on South Carolina's Football staff who's attention carries just a little more weight in the present moment, it's probably defensive backs coach Torrian Gray. Gray has proven in his short time in Columbia that he can both recruit talent and develop the players in his room and prepare them for the next level.
One of his targets for the 2024 recruiting class is New Jersey native Kaj Sanders, a safety for Bergen Catholic, a high school football powerhouse in the New England region. The Gamecocks were the 19th program to offer Sanders, but the reputation of Torrian Gray and their recent results both on the field and in recruiting have clearly caught the attention of Sanders. This is evidenced by the fact that Kaj has scheduled an official visit for the weekend of June 2nd-4th and that South Carolina made his Top 10, which he released on Saturday.
Currently, the Gamecocks have no competition from the SEC in their pursuit of Kaj Sanders, but they will have to battle teams like the homestate Rutgers Scarlet Knights, Miami Hurricanes, Penn State Nittany Lions, Notre Dame Fighting Irish and others to land him. Sanders currently has two other official visits scheduled, one to North Carolina and another one for Penn State.
