LOOK: Gamecock WR Target Parker Livingstone Enjoying His Official Visit

South Carolina Football target Parker Livingstone is finishing up his official visit, and his social media activity indicates he's enjoyed his time in Columbia.

South Carolina's wide receiver coach Justin Stepp is in the midst of a pivotal stretch in the 2024 recruiting cycle. With the Gamecocks set to lose likely their top four wide receivers after this upcoming season due to graduation and NFL Draft declarations, it's imperative that Stepp and the rest of the staff land multiple high school targets who could step in and contribute immediately for South Carolina.

Some of the targets at wide receiver are Jonathan Paylor, who's publicly named the Gamecocks his leader on multiple occasions, and Keylen Adams, who visited Columbia earlier this Spring. Another name that's been thrown out since the Spring has been Parker Livingstone, a native of Texas who got a full plate in June regarding visits. Livingstone is visiting Arkansas, LSU, and the home-state Texas Longhorns in that order over the next three weeks, but this weekend, it's the Gamecocks who've had their first crack at impressing the rising senior; Livingstone has more than enjoyed his time in Soda City.

As seen above, 2024 quarterback commit Dante Reno continues to be a tenacious recruiter for Shane Beamer and the rest of the staff. Along with Reno, South Carolina wide receiver commit Mazeo Bennett is also letting Livingstone know how much he wants him in Columbia.

To this point in his recruitment, the Longhorns have been viewed as the heavy favorite for Parker. However, his visit to Columbia this weekend was the first time that Livingstone had checked out the football program in-person, and considering the red-carpet treatment he received from everyone, it'll be interesting to see if the Gamecocks have closed the gap in as the week progresses.
