Disclaimer: The rankings below are for the games played through Saturday, February 17 Midweek games played since Saturday will be reflected on next week’s Power Rankings.

As the regular season approaches its end, the Power Rankings this week have remained relatively stable the last couple of weeks. Houston remains the top team, as voted on by our panel, followed by Iowa State. Oklahoma State remains at the bottom of the list, narrowly below West Virginia.

Any team can beat any other team on any given day. Big 12 men’s basketball is a gauntlet. Currently, six teams from the league are ranked, with others receiving votes. That means chances are every game each week has at least one ranked team playing, and many times, both teams will be ranked.

Compared to last week’s Power Rankings, this week's biggest mover was TCU (+2). Cincinnati moved up one spot, while BYU, Kansas State, and Oklahoma moved down one spot. The rest of the league – Baylor, Houston, Iowa State, Kansas, Oklahoma State, Texas, Texas Tech, UCF, and West Virginia – maintained the same position as last week.

How Power Rankings Are Determined

Once again, we have brought together a group from across the league to vote each week during the season on the Big 12 Power Rankings.

  • 25+ Total Participants
  • TCU FanNation (KillerFrogs) Editorial Staff
  • Not all are TCU homers – fans of teams in the SEC and Big Ten are part of our editorial staff.
  • One to two fans from the other current schools in the Big 12, plus one to two fans from the 2024 incoming “Four Corners” schools.
  • Each week, each participant provides their rankings 1-14. Those rankings are compiled, and the average rank is then listed below.

Here's where our panel of voters ranked the teams this week:

(Team records and AP Top 25 rank next to the team are as of 2/12/24. AP Top 25 rank of opponents is at the time the game was played; games since then were not considered when voters made their selection)
