Texas Guard- #3 Max Abmas

Texas has not had the success they had hoped for coming into the season. This is tough, especially in a very challenging Big 12 Conference. However, senior guard Max Abmas has been a great addition to this Longhorns team. He has been one of the biggest keys to this team's success. The 6 '0'', 175 lb. guard has been an excellent player in college for quite some time. Abmas spent the last four seasons at Oral Roberts, where he helped them get several March Madness bids. He is a dangerous player, and TCU must be aware of him!

Abmas is a very pure scorer and shot maker, who can literally make it rain from anywhere, including deep contested three-point shots. He is tough to guard and can make hard shots on any player. Abmas designs very crafty high basketball IQ plays. He is also very good at getting through the lane and finishing with a smooth and quick finish.

The Frogs will have to apply good pressure on him early, or he will be a problem. I love the switch the Horned Frogs made in their last game against Texas Tech, where they had Micah Peavy guard their best shooter. I believe if TCU allows Peavy to guard him, he won't have the chance to get hot, as Peavy is one of the best defenders in the nation. However, Abmas is not afraid to shoot on anyone and has a 3-point percentage that is close to 40%. TCU must keep his production low, or he will be a huge problem.

The Horned Frogs have been playing well, and they are a quick team, so I expect them to be able to keep up with Max Abmas in this game.
