Last week, the preseason AFCA Coaches Poll was released. This week, it was the AP with their first look at the Top 25 for the upcoming season. With both polls now out, that only means that Week 0 is almost here, and soon there will be action on the gridiron.

The winner of the past two national championships, the Georgia Bulldogs. not surprisingly, get the top spot in the poll. Behind them are Michigan, Ohio State, Alabama, and LSU. As we saw last week with the Coaches Poll, Georgia was not a unanimous vote, as Michigan received two votes and Ohio State one vote for the top spot.

In the Big 12, Texas is again the highest-ranked team, coming in at No. 11. The TCU Horned Frogs debut at No. 17. Other Big 12 schools in the Top 25 include Kansas State (No. 16)) and Oklahoma (No. 20). Three other schools received votes - Texas Tech (No. 26), Kansas (No. 36), and Baylor (No. 44).
