The Los Angeles Rams Select Trevius Hodges-Tomlinson in the Sixth Round of the NFL Draft

With the 182nd pick in the NFL Draft, the Los Angeles Rams selected TCU cornerback Trevius Hodges-Tomlinson.
Hodges-Tomlinson, the nephew of legendary TCU running back LaDainian Tomlinson, will join Horned Frog teammate Steve Avila, who was also selected by the Rams. The Rams recently traded All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey to Miami, so cornerback was a need for Sean McVay’s squad.
Many people had Hodges-Tomlinson being selected in the third to the fifth round, so getting him in the sixth round is a great value. While undersized, Hodges-Tomlinson displays natural ball skills and was productive during his career in Fort Worth. He intercepted three passes and defended 15 passes in the 2022 season; a season in which he was awarded the Jim Thorpe Award, an award given to the nation’s best defensive back. The 5-9 corner will likely get run as the nickel cornerback in LA.
Hodges-Tomlinson is the sixth Horned Frog taken in the NFL Draft. Quentin Johnston, a first-round selection, Steve Avila, Dylan Horton, Kendre Miller and Derius Davis have all been selected.
