TCU Mens Golf: A Season Update

Grand Canyon University Invitational
The Frogs have been on fire, especially within these last few weeks! On March 13-14, The Frogs played in the Grand Canyon Invitational. TCU shot 17-under as a team to capture their first season win at the GCU Golf Course in Phoenix. The Frogs narrowly edged out North Dakota State and Grand Canyon University.
Gustav Frimodt finishes with a career-best vs. par of 11-under to place second and lead TCU to its first tournament win of the season.

Gustav Frimodt trailed NDSU's Nate Adams by just one stroke on the final day. Frimodt went on to shoot a 2-under 69 with five birdies and an eagle. However, Adams did slightly better, finishing with a 3-under 68 to take the title. Adams and Frimodt were the only players to shoot sub-70 in all three rounds. Gustav Frimodt finished with his career-best score. He has been on a roll, as the second-place finish was his third top-10 finish in six tournaments this season.
Maxence Giboudot had his best collegiate finish. The freshman finished in eighth place after shooting a 5-under final round. Giboudot finished at even par or better in all of his rounds.
Jacob Skov Olesen received his third top-20 finish of the season with a score of even-par. Olesen scored two over in the final round to finish in 19th place.
Chris Berzina and Aymeric Laussot tied for 38th place with a total score of 4-over.
Seahawk Intercollegiate Tournament
The Frogs repeated two weeks later at the Seahawk Intercollegiate Tournament.
TCU shot a season-best 21-under tournament in the Seahawk Intercollegiate to earn their second win in a row at the Country Club of Landfall.
Aymeric Laussot shot a career-best 9-under par to lead TCU to its second-straight team title.

TCU's 4-under for the final round was good enough to hold off Wright State, which finished one shot back.
Aymeric Laussot put together three under-par rounds for a career-best 9-under tournament score. He finished tied for third place, his second top-10 and third top-20 finish this season.
Jacob Skov Olesen tied for 14th place, which is his fourth top-20 finish. Olesen finished the tournament with rounds of 3-under 69 and 2-over 74.
In his third-collegiate tournament, the freshman shot a career-best 2-under 214 and finished tied for 24th.
In his third-ever collegiate tournament, Freshman Jack Beauchamp shot a career-best 2-under tournament score and finished tied for 24th place.
Fort Worth native Chris Berzina finished at even par for the tournament and finished tied for 36th place overall.
Freshman Maxence Giboudot ended the tournament with his best round at 2-under 70 for a tournament score of 2-over. He finished tied for 40th place.
The Frogs also just finished in 11th place at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic. Like all TCU athletics, the Horned Frog Men's Golf team seems to be on a roll. It has been a great year to be a Horned Frog.
