UCLA Women's Basketball: 5-Star 2025 Bruins Commit Reaches New Heights In Class Ranking

A five-star UCLA women's basketball recruit in the 2025 class has risen even further up the rankings. Sienna Betts, the little sister of star Bruin Lauren Betts, now ranks as the No. 2 recruit in her class, only trailing Aaliyah Chavez out of Monterey High School in Texas, per ESPN.

The 6-foot-4 forward out of Grandview High School in Colorado announced her commitment to UCLA back in November. Sienna has emerged as one of the top players in high school basketball, winning the Gatorade Colorado Player of the Year in March. Like her sister Lauren, Sienna is always a threat to produce a double-double, as a strong scorer and rebounder.

While Sienna will have her All-Pac-12 sister, she did have an interest in UCLA even before Lauren decided to transfer there. Sienna also considered several other top programs, which she revealed were South Carolina, USC, UConn, UNC, Duke, Notre Dame, Arizona, Oregon, Ohio State, and Michigan.

Sienna will be the highest-rated recruit since Kiki Rice, who was also the No. 2 ranked recruit in her class. Rice, who was the Gatorade Player of the Year and the Naismith Prep Player of the Year coming out of high school, just completed her sophomore season for the Bruins. She made her first All-Pac-12 team this year and was one of the top players of the team averaging 13.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game. It would not be surprising to see Sienna have a similar impact when she arrives at UCLA.

With Rice, Lauren and Sienna Betts, as well as two other five-star recruits who will join UCLA next season, the Bruins should be expected to remain as top contenders in women's college basketball. They've made the NCAA Sweet 16 each of the last two years and should continue to build off that with all the top recruits, like Sienna, over the next few years.
