Andrews took an unofficial visit to Westwood in mid-March, which ended in an offer from the Bruins' staff. Andrews also took visits to Utah State, BYU, Tennessee, Northwestern and Notre Dame this spring, and he was at the Rivals Camp Series in Los Angeles back on March 12.
Per 247Sports' Bruin Report Online, Andrews has an official visit booked with UCLA on May 26.
The 6-foot-2 recruit primarily plays defensive back and safety for American Fork. In 12 games last season, Andrews tallied 45 tackles, 1.0 tackles for loss, four interceptions and one fumble recovery.
The Bruins have a recent track record recruiting American Fork prospects, picking up a commitment from class of 2022 four-star tight end Carsen Ryan and hosting class of 2023 four-star edge rusher Hunter Clegg for an official visit.
Andrews is a three-star prospect, according to 247Sports, On3 and Rivals. In the 247Sports Composite, Andrews is the No. 5 prospect in Utah, the No. 65 athlete in the country and the No. 614 overall player in his class.
The Bruins have three commits for their 2024 recruiting class – four-star Mater Dei (CA) defensive back Khristian Dunbar-Hawkins, three-star Mission Viejo (CA) offensive tackle Mark Schroller and three-star Eastlake (CA) offensive tackle Joshua Glanz. UCLA's two-man class currently ranks No. 53 in the country and No. 4 in the Pac-12.
Andrews is one of seven Utah natives holding an offer from the Bruins, and all of them remain uncommitted.
