UCLA Football: Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders Receives High Praise From Chip Kelly
The UCLA Bruins will look to grab their sixth win of the season and a shot at a Pac-12 title appearance if they can take care of business against the Colorado Buffaloes and Deion Sanders.
Deion and his program are nothing like what we've known them to be in the past few years, as they are formidable opponents. They are no joke anymore, and a lot of it has to do with Deion and his transfers, including their quarterback and his fourth of five kids, Shedeur Sanders.
Sanders went to Colorado along with his father and has not only turned the program around but has made a name for himself. He's garnered some attention as one of the best quarterbacks in college, and UCLA has taken notice, like head coach Chip Kelly, who had some high praise for the 21-year-old star.
Kelly has been so impressed by what he’s seen from Sanders, in fact, that he even called him one of the top quarterbacks in all of college football.“It says a lot about him,”
Chip Kelly said
.
“I think he’s certainly in the conversation for top quarterback in the country the way he’s playing right now.”“He’s got a lot of poise. It’s a different deal for quarterbacks and I don’t think people don’t really appreciate [it]. The best quarterbacks are probably the toughest quarterbacks. The guys that can stand in there, even though there’s a rush, and still deliver the ball where it’s supposed to be and not put it in harm’s way. He does that a ton. He’s the key. How he goes is how that offense goes. We need to try to disrupt the timing and the routes and we really need to get pressure on him as well.”

Kelly realizes he will have his hands full against Colorado's finest, as Shedeur has been on a tear in 2023.
In his junior season, Sanders is completing 72.3% of his passes, has a total of 2420 passing yards, 21 touchdowns, three interceptions and a rating of 160.3.
The dude is on an absolute tear, and he's not only a great college player but has a chance to be a great NFL quarterback. Kelly and company will have their hands full against the top-notch Colorado offense; we'll see if they're up for the challenge.
