The Bruins have added another big name to their recruiting board.

Class of 2024 offensive tackle Nathan Roy picked up an offer from UCLA football, the prospect announced Monday on Twitter. The 6-foot-5, 275-pound lineman out of Mukwonago High School (WI) has now secured six Power Five offers in the past three weeks alone.

Roy previously earned offers from Central Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa State, Penn State, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Nebraska, USC, Kansas, Purdue, Indiana, Syracuse, Michigan State, Miami (FL), Tennessee, Ohio State, Kentucky and Oklahoma.

Roy went to Iowa's junior day last summer, and he has camped at Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Iowa State, Dixie State and North Central College. Roy was his class' OL MVP at the National Preps Showcase in 2021, and got invited to the Polynesian Bowl National Combine and Showcase later that year.

The AP named Roy to its All-State First Team in 2022. Roy also plays for Mukwonago's basketball and track & field teams.

Roy is a three-star recruit, according to 247Sports, Rivals and ESPN, but a four-star rating from On3 helps bump him up to a four-star distinction in the 247Sports Composite. In the 247Sports Composite, Roy ranks as the No. 3 player in Wisconsin, the No. 23 offensive tackle in the country and the No. 313 overall player in his class.

Among offensive tackles in the Midwest region, Roy ranks No. 4.

UCLA has two commits for its 2024 recruiting class – four star Mater Dei (CA) defensive back Khristian Dunbar-Hawkins and three-star Eastlake (CA) offensive tackle Joshua Glanz. The two-man class currently ranks No. 32 in the country and No. 6 in the Pac-12.

With six of its 37 total offers going to offensive tackles – plus another three going to interior linemen – it is clear that the Bruins are attempting to rebuild their unit up front. Glanz's early commitment was comforting, given that UCLA only signed one lineman in each of the past two cycles, but more needs to be done in order to reach an adequate number of scholarship players at the position.

Roy could therefore become a priority for offensive line coach Time Drevno on the recruiting trail, and it wouldn't be the first time the Bruins went hard after a lineman from Wisconsin.

Jon Gaines II arrived in Westwood in 2018 and appeared in 45 games before moving on in favor of the NFL Draft earlier this offseason. The Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, native was one of the keystone pieces of UCLA's offensive line over the past four seasons, and coach Chip Kelly may want more of that Midwestern toughness as he leads the Bruins into the Big Ten in 2024.

Roy is also the younger brother of rising redshirt sophomore center Benjamin Roy Jr., who signed with the Bruins in 2021.
