In eight appearances for Yelm, Patterson racked up 64 tackles, 11.0 tackles for loss and 8.0 sacks.
Patterson earned invitations to the 2022 Polynesian Bowl and 2022 ESPN300 Elite Underclassmen Camp in Northern California. He followed up those showcases by being named an SSC First Team All-League linebacker in the fall.
The 6-foot-3, 235-pound prospect is a three-star recruit, according to 247Sports, although he does not have a rating in the 247Sports Composite. In the 247Sports Composite, Patterson is ranked as the No. 13 player in the state of Washington and the No. 56 linebacker in the country.

Platt played in seven games for Yelm this fall, and he recorded 41 tackles, 5.0 tackles for loss and 1.0 sack. On the other side of the ball, Platt rushed for 765 yards and 18 touchdowns while adding 160 receiving yards and a receiving touchdown en route to a state title for Yelm.
In addition to accepting an invitation to the All-American Bowl, Platt showed out at the same ESPN300 camp as Patterson last spring. The 6-foot-2, 240-pound prospect is also an elite track and field athlete.
Platt is a four-star recruit, according to 247Sports and ESPN, but Rivals and On3 have him pegged as a three-star recruit. In the 247Sports Composite, Platt is ranked as the No. 4 player in Washington, the No. 22 linebacker is the country and the No. 277 overall prospect in his class.
UCLA has two commits for its 2024 recruiting class – four-star defensive back Khristian Dunbar-Hawkins and three-star offensive lineman Joshua Glanz. The Bruins’ two-man class ranks No. 30 in the country and No. 6 in the Pac-12.
Patterson and Platt are the third and fourth linebackers in their class to earn offers from UCLA.
