As your UCLA Bruins get set for their upcoming game against the Cal Golden Bears, multiple members of their roster will be heading into their final game in the program. The seniors will be moving on, and this game represents their final chance to put on the uniform during the regular season.

Senior inside linebacker Darius Muasau is entering his final game at the Rose Bowl, and he wants to do whatever he can to get the win. He knows how special it has been to put on the Bruins jersey, and just wants to make everyone proud.

“This is my last game in the Rose Bowl,” he said. “Right now it’s not really hitting me, but once I get on the field it’s going to mean a lot more to me. I really just want to win this game and not just me, but my fellow seniors. We’ve been through a lot together the last two years that I’ve been here. It’s also senior night so a good 20 or 30 family members from Hawaii are flying out to celebrate with me. I’ll be having Thanksgiving with them alongside family I have here in the Orange County area. But I don’t do the cooking … that’s all my parents.”

He has spent the last two years with the Bruins after coming over from The University of Hawaii, and it was a big adjustment for him. But he pushed through and has made a name for himself with the team.

“I came here looking to get out of my comfort zone,” Muasau said. “I’m a Hawaii boy, grew up there, been there my whole life, that’s all I pretty much knew, so coming out here was a great experience for me and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.”

The Bruins upperclassmen know this is their last chance to make their mark for this program, and they want to go out on a high note. They have the talent to win this game but will need to come in focused.

If they prepare well through the week and don’t take Cal for granted, they should win. Their defense alone should help them get the win, but anything goes in college football each week.
