The Bruins appear to be in the market for more offensive linemen, and one of their top targets has become public.

Former Wyoming offensive guard Emmanuel Pregnon entered the transfer portal on Saturday, and UCLA football was one of the many schools to send him an offer within just a few hours. Arizona, Purdue, Minnesota, Illinois, Oregon, Indiana, Ole Miss, Colorado and Washington State have also sent offers to the Denver, Colorado, native.

Pregnon spent three seasons with the Cowboys, but didn't take the field in either 2020 or 2021. He has three years of eligibility remaining.

Coming in at 6-foot-6 and 313 pounds with 28% body fat, Pregnon has more than enough size and strength to make the move to the Power Five level.

College Football News named Pregnon to their Freshman All-American Second Team in 2022, as well as their Midseason All-American Team. Pregnon was the No. 3 graded guard according to Pro Football Focus, which also named him a Freshman All-American.

UCLA added a transfer out of Wyoming last offseason – cornerback Azizi Hearn, who recorded 40 tackles and seven pass deflections across 13 games and six starts.

The Bruins have already brought in three offensive linemen out of the transfer portal so far this offseason – Purdue left guard Spencer Holstege, Old Dominion left tackle Khadere Kounta and College of the Sequoias tackle Caleb Walker – which was much-needed considering they only added one high school recruit up front – three-star guard Tavake Tuikolovatu. Left tackle Raiqwon O'Neal, left guard Atonio Mafi and right guard Jon Gaines all left for the 2023 NFL Draft, meaning UCLA needed to add several starters to its offensive line this offseason.

Holstege was expected to step in and start at left guard right away, but he has been missing from the last few spring camp sessions. Kounta could slide in at left tackle, but he has yet to enroll or join the team for practice.

As it stands, Benjamin Roy Jr. is UCLA's starting left guard in spring camp, while Josh Carlin is the starting right guard. Neither has played any meaningful snaps in a real college game, meaning offensive line coach Tim Drevno is likely working the phones to try to bring in more experienced options like Pregnon before the portal closes again on April 30.
