UCLA Women's Basketball: Bruins Comeback Falls Short in Upset

In this story:
Kiki Rice got a shot off at the buzzer to tie the game, the ball bounced off the backboard then the front of the rim then out, and the No. 2 UCLA Bruins lost 85-82 to Washington State on Sunday afternoon at Pauley Pavilion.
With Lauren Betts missing her second straight game, the Bruins offense struggled again in the first half. They appeared discombobulated in the opening quarter and bled into the second.
Charisma Osborne only played four minutes in the first quarter and was held to four points in the first half.
From the start, UCLA couldn't hang with Washington State's Charlisse Leger-Walker and Belle Murekatete. They led the Cougars with 15 and 13 points through the first two quarters.
In the third quarter, Leger-Walker went down with an apparent knee injury and didn't return.
The Bruins started to figure it out in the second half, outscoring the Cougars in both the third and fourth quarters. Their effort was valiant but fell short.
Four Bruins finished in double-digits. Rice led all scorers with a career-high 25, Osborne had 20, Londynn Jones had 19 and Angela Dugalic scored 10.
