Nevada CB Transfer Michael Coats Jr. Signs with West Virginia

Former Nevada cornerback Michael Coats Jr. has officially signed with the West Virginia Mountaineers.

Coats is considered to be one of WVU's biggest pickups in the transfer portal as they had to fight off Ole Miss and several others to land him.

This past season, Coats was one of the best corners in the entire country, earning a First Team All-Mountain West selection. He ended the year finishing second nationally in pass breakups (14) while totaling 41 tackles and four interceptions.

He will have one year of eligibility remaining.
