Here's Where Scott Rolen Ranks All-Time Among Hall of Famers, Third Basemen

The former Philadelphia Phillies, St. Louis Cardinals and Cincinnati Reds legend racked up plenty of hits, home runs, Gold Gloves and WAR in his career.

Scott Rolen finally punched his ticket to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in January, making the cut in his sixth year on the ballot.

Rolen will be inducted in Cooperstown, New York, on Sunday alongside first baseman Fred McGriff, immortalizing his place in baseball history.

However, Rolen spent five years on the ballot before he reached the 75.0% of votes required to make the hall. Even in 2023, Rolen only narrowly exceeded the 292 votes needed for election, appearing on 297 of the 389 ballots submitted by Baseball Writers Association of America members.

Rolen made a strong case for his entry into the hall over the course of his career, which spanned from 1996 to 2012. In seven seasons with the Philadelphia Phillies, six with the St. Louis Cardinals, two with the Toronto Blue Jays and four with the Cincinnati Reds, Rolen stuffed the stat sheet and won plenty of awards along the way.
