Seattle Mariners' Julio Rodriguez, Atlanta Braves' Eddie Rosario Win MLB Players of the Week

In this story:
Seattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez and Atlanta Braves outfielder Eddie Rosario have won American League and National League Players of the Week, respectively, MLB announced Monday afternoon.
Rodriguez set countless records and joined a handful of exclusive all-time lists over the past week, going 21-for-37 with two home runs, 12 RBI and six stolen bases. The 22-year-old is hitting .568 with a 1.417 OPS across his last seven games.
While he recorded a hit in every game this week, Rodriguez ascended to another level when he put up 17 hits in four games against the Kansas City Royals and Houston Astros.
The 2022 AL Rookie of the Year has led the Mariners to a six-game winning streak, vaulting them into sole possession of the third AL Wild Card spot.
Rodriguez is now batting .278 with 21 home runs, 79 RBI, 33 stolen bases, a .798 OPS and a 4.6 WAR through 121 games in 2023.
Rosario may not have Rodriguez's star power on his side, but he has still been putting up big numbers as part of a dangerous Braves lineup.
The 31-year-old left fielder went 11-for-21 with three home runs and 10 RBI during the week, good for a .524 batting average and 1.631 OPS. Rosario's top performance came against the San Francisco Giants on Saturday, when he went 4-for-4 and finished a triple shy of the cycle.
In 110 games this season, Rosario is now hitting .260 with 19 home runs, 61 RBI, a .789 OPS and a 0.7 WAR.
