Former UFC Veteran Thinks Jon Jones vs. Francis Ngannou Is Still Possible

One former UFC fighter isn't shutting the door on Jon Jones vs. Francis Ngannou.
For many fight fans, Jones vs. Ngannou is the bout that got away. Ngannou had been the reigning UFC Heavyweight Champion, but the title was vacated after "The Predator" and the UFC failed to reach an agreement on a new deal. Jones ended up submitting Ciryl Gane to capture the heavyweight gold.
Ngannou has signed with the PFL, which has seemingly poured cold water on the idea of a bout with Jones. While both athletes are under different promotions, it isn't all doom and gloom for one former UFC heavyweight.

During an episode of "The Schaub Show," Brendan Schaub explained why he doesn't think Jon Jones vs. Francis Ngannou is out of the realm of possibility.
"Here's my thing, why can't it happen? ESPN is in business with UFC," Schaub said. "PFL is in business with ESPN. They do a co-promotion, it's a ESPN Fight Night. Doesn't have to be a UFC, doesn't have to be a PFL. Maybe it's brought to you by ESPN. They have the money to get it done. Why not just do a one-off of Francis-Jon Jones."
Schaub went on to say that if he's a higherup in the UFC, he's eager to book the fight regardless of the circumstance. He believes it's a chance for the UFC to pour cold water on Ngannou being the PFL's biggest talent signing.
