Rising UFC welterweight Ian Garry is willing to take on all contenders with the exception of one top 10 competitor.

Garry is quickly emerging as a hot prospect in MMA. After securing the Cage Warriors Welterweight Championship back in 2021, Garry signed a UFC contract. He has gone 5-0 under the world leader in MMA, and three of those bouts ended in finishes via KO/TKO. Garry's most recent victory was at UFC Charlotte, where he scored a first-round TKO finish over Daniel Rodriguez.

After the fight, Garry called out the number 11-ranked UFC welterweight Neil Magny. "The Haitian Sensation" is already booked for a scrap against Philip Rowe at UFC Jacksonville on June 24.

Ariel Helwani threw out another potential name for Garry to face during a recent edition of MMAFighting's "The MMA Hour." Helwani asked Garry if he would face number 10-ranked UFC welterweight Vicente Luque. The Irishman gave a definitive answer.

"I can't fight Luque," Garry said. "He's my boy. He gave me the biggest hug in the world today. No, I can't be doing that."

Garry's answer may not come as a surprise to hardcore fight fans. After all, "The Future" and Luque are training partners at the Kill Cliff FC gym in Deerfield Beach, Florida.

With that said, Garry did reveal a conversation he had with another well-known welterweight about a potential fight down the line.

"I was talking to [Michael Chiesa] the other day," Garry said. "He said that he might have a couple of matchups on the line."
