Former interim UFC Lightweight Champion Tony Ferguson has been released from policy custody.

Ferguson allegedly crashed a pickup truck into two parked cars outside a nightclub in Hollywood early Sunday morning. The incident was said to have occurred before 2 a.m. local time. TMZ Sports first brought word of the incident and sources told the media outlet that Ferguson was not cooperative with police on the scene and refused to take a field sobriety test. He was booked into Hollywood Community Police Station.

"El Cucuy's" bond had been set at $30,000, but he has been released on his own recognizance.

It's been tough sledding for Ferguson as of late. The once highly touted 155-pounder is in the midst of a five-fight losing streak. He hasn't won a bout since June 2019.

Fans also believe there could still be far greater issues with Ferguson given his recent DUI arrest and his past issues with mental health. Back in 2019, Ferguson's wife filed a restraining order against him due to "violent, paranoid, and delusional behavior." In a statement, Ferguson's wife insisted that "El Cucuy" was a good father and husband, and that the order was issued in an effort to get Ferguson the help that he needed.

"El Cucuy" was able to continue his pro MMA career without delay, which Ferguson's wife stated was one of the goals from issuing the restraining order.
