UFC 291 in Salt Lake City has a hard act to follow after the non-stop carnage seen at UFC 290 only a few weeks ago. If the rest of the card is as good as the fight between Mathew Semelsberger and Uros Medic, it could surpass the previous pay-per-view.

The second preliminary fight of the night showed just how loaded this card is. In the first round alone both fighters found themselves extremely compromised. Semelsberger dropped Medic with a strong right hand and it looked like the fight may be over, but Medic answered back with two upkicks that dropped Semelsberger.

By the time the third round arrived both fighters were battered and beaten up, but Medic still had another trick up his sleeve. Halfway through the final round “The Doctor” landed a combination that stunned Semelsberger and followed it up with a vicious spinning back elbow that secured the win.

After getting dropped in the first round, Medic wasn’t taking any chances letting the fight go to a judge's decision, and picked up the biggest win of his UFC career. The Alaska native enjoyed his victory so much that he claimed he wanted he may move to Utah.

“Everybody took great care of me. I am literally loving this city,” Medic said. “I want to move here at some point. You guys have it all. Thirty minutes to the ski resort. Thirty minutes to get back for some golfing, some brewskis, you name it.”

Medic has a knockout in five of his past six fights and has proven to be one of the best finishers in the welterweight division. After finishing this fight, the UFC may try and get him back into the Octagon as quickly as possible.
