VIDEO: Zhang Weili Batters Tough UFC 292 Challenger Amanda Lemos

The women's strawweight title fight at UFC 292 has wrapped up.

The first title fight on the UFC 292 card is over.

Zhang Weili put the 115-pound gold at stake against Amanda Lemos in the UFC 292 co-headliner. This was the first defense in Weili's second run with the strawweight championship.

Lemos went for a kick early, but Zhang took her down. Weili was landing heavy punches in top control. Lemos got back up, and Weili took her back down but her opponent had a D'arce choke. Zhang turned it around and unloaded strikes. At the end of the round, Lemos went for another choke as she was slammed down, but didn't have anything.

Lemos landed a clean punch early in the second stanza, but got wild and Weili capitalized with a takedown. Zhang went for a rear-naked choke, but didn't have it. Elbows were there for the champion. Lemos returned to her feet, but was quickly dumped back down.

Weili scored a side kick to the body within the first minute of the third round. She took the back of Lemos. The two eventually returned to the feet again.

In the fourth round, Lemos landed a right hand. The first two minutes of the round were spent in the standup. Another right hand was there for Lemos. Weili went for a kick, but got punched and lost her balance. Zhang shot in and scored a takedown. Lemos once again tried for a choke off her back, but couldn't get it.

Lemos ate a huge right hand that dropped her early in the fifth round. Weili dropped some more bombs with Lemos on the ground. After taking some stiff shots on the ground, Lemos still found a way to get back up, but her opponent brought her right back down. The final horn sounded and the winner was clear.
