LeBron James quote-tweets a post about Chaminade-Madonna's Jeremiah Smith

King James is looking forward to seeing Smith in "Scarlet & Gray" at Ohio State

Jeremiah Smith, widely regarded as the No. 1 wide receiver in the nation and well as the top football player in the state of Florida has caught the eye of NBA superstar LeBron James.

As Smith and his Chaminade-Madonna teammates began preparations, on Monday, for their Class 1M regional final playoff game with Cardinal Newman, this Friday, King James publicly expressed his admiration for Smith by quote-tweeting a post on X from College Football Report, listing several of Smith's rankings and showing some video highlights of him.

"Can’t wait to see him in Scarlet & Gray," was the text which accompanied James tweet, referring to Smith's commitment to Ohio State. James was born in Akron, Ohio and is a long time fan of all things Ohio State.

James went straight from high school to the NBA, but has often stated that if he would have played college basketball it would have been at Ohio State. He often tweets about Buckeye sports and has been a generous benefactor of the school's athletic program.
