TOP 25 QUARTERBACKS IN ARKANSAS

Kendall Akins – Sr. – Forrest City

Akins threw 19 touchdown passes and ran in seven more to lead the Mustangs to an 8-3 record in 2019.

Jaheim Brown – Sr. – Fordyce

Brown enters his fourth season as the Redbug's starting quarterback having thrown 53 touchdowns with 31 more coming on the ground.

Daedrick Cail – Sr. – Marion

Cail, a two-sport standout, returns for his third season under center for the Patriots. He’s thrown for over 5,000 yards and has 54 touchdown passes over the past two seasons. He’s committed to play baseball at Arkansas State University.

Dawson Chester – Sr. – Pocahontas

Chester threw 27 touchdown passes last season and led the Redskins into the 4A State playoffs. He’s committed to play baseball at Arkansas State University.

Buddy Gaston – Sr. – Joe T. Robinson

Gaston had a breakout season in 2019 as he led the Senator’s to the 4A State Championship, throwing for six touchdowns in the championship game. He finished the season with 44 touchdown passes and only eight interceptions.

Tyler Gee – Sr. – Cabot

Gee threw for over 2,300 yards and 24 touchdowns during his junior year to go along with three rushing touchdowns and a receiving touchdown. He’s committed to play at Central Arkansas.

Palmer Gilbrech – Sr. – Central Arkansas Christian

Gilbrech threw for 2,300 yards and had 21 passing touchdowns last season to lead the Mustangs into the 4A State playoffs.

Carson Hair – Jr. – Jessieville

Hair enters his third season as the Lion’s starter under center. He’s thrown for 37 touchdowns over his first two seasons with 12 more touchdowns coming on the ground.

Kain Johnson – Sr. – Elkins

In his first season as the starting quarterback, Johnson threw 23 touchdown passes and scored 13 more on the ground.

Cross Jumper – Sr. – Jonesboro

Jumper has thrown 42 touchdown passes over the past two seasons with 13 more coming on the ground. He’s made a commitment to play baseball at the University of Tennessee.

Wesley Launius – Sr. – Glen Rose

Launius threw 22 touchdown passes last season as the Beavers took an eight-game winning streak into the 3A State playoffs.

Josh Lawson – Jr. – Centerpoint (Amity)

Lawson led the Knights into the 3A State playoffs after throwing 24 touchdown passes during his sophomore season.

Austin Ledbetter – Sr. – Bryant

Ledbetter threw 40 touchdown passes last season while leading the Hornets to a perfect 13-0 record and their second consecutive 7A State Championship. He’s made a verbal commitment to play baseball at the University of Arkansas.

Dalton McDonald – Sr. – Bentonville West

McDonald has thrown for over 3,200 yards and has 29 touchdown passes in the past two seasons as the Wolverine’s signal caller.

Austin Myers – Jr. – Vilonia

Myers threw 12 touchdown passes and led the Eagles into the 5A State Playoffs as a sophomore. He’s made a verbal commitment to the University of Kansas.

Gary Phillips – Sr. – Van Buren

Phillips showed off his dual-threat ability in 2019 with 15 passing touchdowns and 856 rushing yards. Recent scholarship offers have come in from Army, Navy, Columbia, and Dartmouth.

Daylon Powell – Sr. – Hoxie

Powell threw for 10 touchdowns last season but did the majority of his damage on the ground. He carried the ball 151 times for 1,799 yards and 26 touchdowns. He’s made a verbal commitment to North Alabama.

Jonathan Reyes – Sr. – Maumelle

Reyes threw 36 touchdowns passes and led the Hornets to an 8-3 record in his first season as the starter.

Landon Rogers – Sr. – Parkview Magnet

Rogers, the top dual-threat quarterback in the state, threw 19 touchdowns and only two interceptions as a junior. He added over 500 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground and recently reaffirmed his commitment to the University of Arkansas.

Will Ross – Sr. – Lakeside

Ross threw 24 touchdowns as a junior to lead the Rams to a conference title.

Eli Shepherd – Sr. – El Dorado

In his first season as the varsity starter, Shepherd threw 16 touchdown passes and surpassed 2,000 yards passing.

Caden Sipe – Sr. – Harding Academy

Sipe put up video game numbers for the Wildcats in 2019, leading them to a 15-0 record and a 3A State Championship. He surpassed 3,800 passing yards to go along with 59 touchdowns and only six interceptions. He also added 495 rushing yards and nine touchdowns on the ground.

Zak Stracener – Sr. – Valley View

Stracener threw 15 touchdown passes last season to help lead the Blazers to an undefeated regular season.

Kamron Turner – Sr. – Rivercrest

Entering his third season as the starting quarterback, Turner has done a little of everything for the Colts. He’s thrown 33 touchdowns, rushed for 28 touchdowns, and grabbed three interceptions as a junior.

Gabe Wilson – Sr. – Greenland

After playing linebacker as a sophomore, Wilson took over as the quarterback and threw 15 touchdown passes and scored 10 more on the ground to lead the Pirates into the 3A State playoffs.
