Video: East Forsyth football Coach Todd Willert on utilizing 7 on 7s as the Eagles reload this season

CLEMMONS, NORTH CAROLINA--Todd Willert has been through the personnel changes every season during his long tenure as the head coach at East Forsyth.
The Eagles, who finished 12-1 last season and fell in the third round of the NCHSAA 4-A playoffs, lost plenty of key skills position players on offense and defense at the end of the 2022 season, including quarterback Jaylen Alexander-Raynor, speedy wide receiver Que'Sean Brown, and tight end Jayvontay Connor--all Division I players currently in college.
Defensive stalwarts R.J. Brown and Nick Martin also graduated, leaving Willert and his coaching staff plenty of holes to fill.
Willert discussed the benefits of 7 on 7s with SBLive's Marc Pruitt and the opportunities his players now have to help fill some of those roles, and how the new pieces of his team are helping to do just that.
